Ready to Roll, part II

First time!

Three months

Happy three months, kiddo!

• You are one happy baby. You have many different smiles now, from the little one-sided grin to the full on open-mouthed smile that makes your nose crinkle up.
• We're learning about who you are, and you are full of personality.
  
• Your ability and desire to sleep at night have both increased - for which we are very grateful.
  
• You love bathtime, and you kick your feet to splash the water in your little tub. You also like to watch the dog, who stands by the side of the tub during every bath.
• You're almost rolling over!
• Seeing yourself in the mirror makes you smile.
  
• You like sitting in your dad's lap while he reads you a book. "Duck on a Bike" is a favorite.

Super Bowl Sunday

Since our beloved Steelers are not in the big game, Henry decided to wear something a bit more team-agnostic.


We thought perhaps we could divine something about the final result of today's game by which team he spit up on, but he didn't cooperate.

Having this much snow has reminded us of Rochester and it's been kind of fun actually. I don't know that I'm ready to sign up for it multiple times a year. In fact, I'm procrastinating getting the car dug out by writing this post.

Things are good here and Henry's at a fun age right now (12 weeks on Tuesday). He's smiling and interacting with us more and we're all getting better at understanding the subtle signs of whether he needs to eat, sleep or to lie in his bouncy chair and talk to frog. Regular sleeping patterns have begun to emerge, which we're all thankful for.

If you got lots of snow, hope you've dug out and still have power to enjoy the big game or commercials, whichever is your speed.

So, it has been a bit challenging to keep up with this whole blog thing... but at least we didn't let more than a month pass between postings! We'll be better, we promise.

In short, everyone's doing great. Henry continues to grow at record speed. At his two month appointment he was high-90s percentiles for weight and height, weighing in at almost fifteen pounds. We've already had to pack away a box of clothes that he has outgrown, and we're digging into the 6 month sized clothing we'd stored. He's looking around all the time, responding to us more, and smiling and laughing a whole lot.
